Sara Hefty world of art invites us into her spiraled perspective of life, surrounding us with more emotional comfort, more emotional support, and more emotional education as adults going through the motions of our days, sometimes carrying unresolved trauma from the loss of love.
Her art holds space to process , to ease out of I am a hot mess to pursuing ownership of life again with a more self directed approach that helps move us forward, to feel peaceful within and good again.
She makes paintings that hold space for the viewer to experience themselves, as part of the world, on their terms. By seeing various moments within her emotional and mental mazes, the viewer makes choices that have the power to help heal, inspire, and navigate their life.
Her goal and inspiration is to create the most transformative experience every time she works. Her art begins with emotional injuries and moves into the struggle of becoming happy. It has some details from self-help and science. It is modern expressionism, abstract, outsider art. She is always connecting layers of meaning within her pictures. We create art because humanity is required to navigate chaos. Our minds need art. When we have art, we become more connected, more ourselves and we become, dare I say, happier.
Sara is a multi passionate self taught artist and owner of Sara Hefty Art.
She works with canvas, acrylics, spray paint and found objects in an effort to share her world of mental mazes, emotion, and our basic human needs of love, safety, and belonging.
