I have been painting drawing and sketching since I was old enough to hold a tool and have expanded my skills over the years by participating in many educational courses from various instructors.
In 2018 I left a twenty-year career as a hair and nail designer to help with our family businesses and become a self-employed artist. I still use my designing and service skills by sharing and creating healing artwork and showing others how to find their inner artist.
I consider myself to be an intuitive artist, an empath who creates pieces that are full of emotion often connected to the spiritual realm. Acrylic and watercolor are my media of choice, yet I often combine many mediums including graphite, colored pencil, inks, paint pens, markers, and most recently collage, incorporating organic and inorganic material to create layered and complex designs that resonate with the emotions I am experiencing while creating.
I continue to grow as an artist and as a human. You will often find me in the studio with family and friends creating together. I love to watch the amazement in someone eyes as they start to understand if they can disengage their mind from the creative process, it can provide a way to process emotion and experience personal healing without fear of judgement. They are often impressed that the finished product is often nothing like it began. The joy of watching others experience their self-worth grow is truly incredible.
Look for me and my work around the Chippewa Valley at Artisan Forge Studios and various local events, exhibits and tent shows throughout the year.
