My journey into the art world has been a varied and scattered one. I started by creating various fabric creations including garments and decorative items, moving on to art quilts, macrame, wire wrapping jewelry, alcohol inks, eco printing, and solar printing. After I retired as a psychologist, I began the process of learning watercolor painting, which is not for the faint of heart. I took many classes, some of them local, but many online and around the state. I especially enjoy creating watercolor batiks and negative painting which is painting around the subject to bring it forth. Like many artists, I enjoy nature and have been a gardening addict for many years. You will see florals as a common subject in my artwork.
My husband and I live on a farm with a couple spoiled cats in the Fall Creek area. Stay tuned, I am thinking of journeying into plaster arts, but watercolor will still
take precedence.
